Had a little photo shoot with my birthday presents. They are too pretty not to share! My sister handmade me that cute little owl. I had been meaning to make one for so long, so was delighted that she got around to it first! My parents bought me this beautiful uccelli necklace by Irish designer Paula Boyle and the gorgeous knitted brooch is by knitwear designer Heather Finn.

A quick outfit post. Same shirt as last one. I tend to find something in my wardrobe, wear it lots over the next few weeks then forget about it again. This could be due to my overflowing clothes collection, the poor things are all squished in together. I must remedy this!

Trick or Treat?
My Halloween was decidedly more treat than trick this year! Attempts to celebrate halloween in the traditional fashion were a little unsucessfull. Did I dress up? No, not even a blob of face paint! Did I watch a scary movie? Erm does “Fat Families” count? Did I eat an enormous amount of treats?….YES yes I did! that is the only Halloween tradition I successfully partook in this year and boy was it delicious:-)
I am quite inspired for next Halloween though! I just wish I didn’t have to wait until then to dress up!

It was my Birthday yesterday! Yay for birthdays 
I had an especially lovely day and got lots of perfect presents of items that I had been dreaming about for weeks! I will share them with you in my next post. For now I will leave you with the my “Birthday Suit” so to speak! This is what I wore to my birthday lunch with my boyfriend who treated me to a massive buffet lunch in which we availed of all the food to THE MAX. A severe case of food comatose followed! And also here is a delectable cupcake that my sister bought me. mint flavored icing. SCRUMPTIOUS. I got me a cupcake making kit too so prepare for an avalanche of cupcake themed pictures.

I absolutely fell in love with these H&M pants when I tried them on, I just couldn’t leave them behind. I loved them even more when upon purchasing I was handed a €5 gift voucher to spend in the store! SUPERB! So I bought the cutest pair of gloves as a gift and a few pairs for myself….it’s getting nippy out there:-( Paired the pants with my trusty silk shirt from Topshop, it’s certainly won the prize of being my most worn item of the past year. What’s your most worn item of clothing?

House Hunting is hard. So this week has consisted of not one but two glossy magazines and large amounts of cake, tea and coffee! I seem to have developed a habit of whipping out my iphone or camera to document every hot beverage that I purchase?….. I can’t help it! They always look so lovely! and this way they’re lovlinesss is captured forever

I stumbled upon these American laundry palazzo pants at TKmax a few weeks ago. I love them so much but was getting a little worried that I hadn’t worn them until now. I have a feeling they will become a regular addition to my smart/casual wardrobe. I found this olive green polo in my mom’s wardrobe that I thought was perfect for subtle seventies look. It’s also uber trendy to don a turtle neck at the mo don’t ya know…

I want I want I want
People in the real world get bored of me telling them about the things I want to buy. Hopefully people in the blogging world won’t??? So here goes…….
I want scratch that…..I NEEED a BLACK leather jacket. October is that in betweenie month where you can’t go out without some sort of coat stlyamajig yet you can’t justify wearing a winter coat. Solution no. 1:
Coming in at a close second is the army jacket. I was on the verge of buying one in the States this summer. I’m kicking myself for not sealing the deal. Silly Kate, silly, silly Kate! I would have used it so much.
Time is ticking, if I don’t purchase soon It will be November and snowing and I’ll have to swaddle myself Eskimo style 
Another semi-essential item that needs to make it’s way into my wardrobe are these amazing topshop pants that I first saw Jules of Sincerely Jules wearing. They have been stalking me ever since. I think they’re like magical mermaid pants and I need them badly. They remind me of a pair of turquoise Benetton flares I had when I was 12 so there must be some sentimental attachment there. I’m meant to have them!

I have spent so many millions of hours reading other people’s blogs that I’ve decided I should maybe use a portion of this time a little more productively and start writing my own. I recently got an amazing gift of a Canon 550d. As you can see this was quite an exciting event……..
I hope to use this fantastical camera to document the goings on in my world. So I guess this blog will be a sort of photo diary full of things I love……fashion, food, films, photos. Hopefully I might inspire one person as I have been inspired by other’s blogs. So follow me on my adventure as I get to grips with the technicalities of afore mentioned fantastical camera and the not so fantastical technicalities involved in making a website!
